I've been wearing this model shoe (or its ancient
'ancestor') since my podiatrist recommended such a shoe. I
have pretty severe bone spurs on both big toes, and these
provide a comfortable and somewhat therapeutic shoe for me
to use for regular day to day use. I have to replace them
every 5 to 6 months, but I recommend them for anyone who can
suffer through walking or other simple activities.

With two others, I walk 4 miles every morning in beautiful
MN along the Mississippi river in Dakota County. When I
began this fun regimen I realized I needed a really good
walking shoe (I am 6'4", 230lbs). This is a perfect match
for me and I have just ordered my second pair.

My dad is a 76 yr old diabetic. His feet are usually so
swollen he cannot put normal shoes on. I ordered the widest
width possible for him. He called to tell me that in his
whole life he has never wore a more comfortable shoe. He is
now on his way to living a healthier life including diet. So
when swelling goes down we will get him the same kind of New
Balance but hopefully not as wide a shoe.

I bought this shoe because I tried others. I wanted a shoe
that was very comfortable. I am a large man, tall and heavy.
I was having trouble finding a shoe that I could use
everyday and also at the gym. This shoe was great. I walk
about 4 miles at time, and have no trouble with this shoe.
It's very well made. I would tell people before you buy a
new shoe make sure you have walked at least 1 mile, that way
your feet will be swelled, as all do, and it will fit right.
Hope this helps.
